Top 5 Famous Stoners

Man Smoking Weed
Weed smokers come in all shapes and sizes from all walks of life. From the Joe Shmo's on the street to those who are in the spotlight, here's a list of the five most famous stoners (in my opinion)...

5. George Washington

There are a number of credible sources that claim that the First POTUS not only smoked but cultivated hemp on his own, in the nation's capital. It's been rumored that our founding father actually separated male and female plants and scaled their THC potency in detailed diaries that he kept. He totally would've had my vote.

4. The cast of Half Baked; Thurgood Jenkins, Brian, Scarface, and Kenny

This baked foursome was by far one of the most memorable stoner cast in one of the best stoner movies ever made.

From the hilarious one-liners to the ridiculous story plot, this is definitely a movie made by stoners for stoners. Side note: Half Baked is best enjoyed when fully baked-- just saying...

3. Scooby and Shaggy

This is one of the most debated stoner topics of all time; we're Scooby and Shaggy stoners? Even though they never blazed up on film, all of the signs point to Y-E-S. They were constantly eating or talking about food. And let's not forget about Shaggy's stoner look and lingo. If I had to guess, I'd say there were lots of toke sessions in the Mystery Van.

2. The Dude- The Big Lebowski

The Dude truly depicts the long term effects of a habitual pot smoker. This character gives us a glimpse into what happens when you spend years and years getting high: you develop a zen-like attitude toward everything, really appreciate bowling, and have a bitchin’ rug that ties the room together.

The Dude teaches us that eventually, after a lot of smoking, you reach a state of enlightenment. And that anyone can rock a pink robe during any time of day. I can dig it, man.

1. Cheech and Chong

I think that the number one spot goes to Cheech and Chong. Pretty much every movie that they've ever been in has been made for stoners with the two ultimate pot heads.

Even though they're currently not in the Hollywood spotlight, they remain the masters of stoner comedy.
